Gateway Brand Design

Gateway is at the crossroads of Newark’s diverse neighborhoods — a convergence of growing businesses, communities, and a major transportation hub for thousands of daily commuters. It is designed to connect, activate, and create a destination that reflects the heart of Newark for residents and commuters. Spanning 1.6 million square feet, the tiered office complex consists of three interconnected buildings with curated retail spaces along the walkways and concourses. A robust brand positioning and identity was designed to capture the essence and spirit of the city, while cementing the new Gateway as a true destination.

The dynamic brand identity, vibrant marketing, and integrated placemaking further enhance the visitor experience. A launch campaign centers around the idea of “Where Newark Comes Together,” and allows for flexibility in messaging to resonate with different types commuters, consumers, and the greater Newark community as a whole.
