In a move to consolidate its two offices into a brand new development in Leicester Square, Hearst’s new location brings together multiple media brands under one roof for the first time; creating a future-facing, highly collaborative and creative work environment. Gensler’s design team was challenged to create a new open workspace to encourage collaboration. The design team sought to exhibit the progressive nature of the business in order to attract and retain the best industry talent. The House of Hearst was created with a timeless, sophisticated aesthetic which serves as a backdrop to a multitude of brands under the Hearst umbrella. The move also signified a change in the ways of working including increasing collaborative behaviours and moving to unassigned desks.
