Lenovo Center

Raleigh, North Carolina

Gensler is leading a dramatic transformation of the Lenovo Center (formerly PNC Arena), elevating it to a premier destination for sports and entertainment. Home to the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes and North Carolina State Basketball, as well as a host of premier events in the region, the arena’s multi-phase renovation focuses on improving operational efficiency and delivering new event-level premium hospitality and a transformed upper concourse.

The first phase of improvements includes a 4,500-square-foot multi-purpose room designed for premium hospitality, alongside five bunker suites, further elevating premium experiences while driving new revenue. The second phase of the arena renovation shifts focus to the main concourse and club levels, featuring an expanded primary entry lobby, reimagined clubs, and a redefined suite inventory, continuing to diversify premium seating opportunities while enriching the fan experience.

The approach to reimagining the Raleigh destination prioritizes fans and offers experiences that are authentic to the regional culture. The project also ensures operational efficiency is improved and revenue is grown and diversified, ultimately acting as a catalyst for development. Upon completion, the Lenovo Center will be a world-class arena, poised to serve the Raleigh-Durham community for the next 30 years.
