Microsoft consolidated its offices to connect 2,000 staff in one integrated location in a new office space in County Dublin, Ireland. In order to communicate the process, Gensler developed a change management strategy by developing a persona that could be used across multiple channels. Building off the interiors concept of a 'Microsoft Island' for the new headquarters, Gensler’s Brand Design team developed Scout, an explorer to help guide and communicate the change with their employees. Scout appears in various platforms, such as an ‘Ask Scout’ mobile app and pocket guide for employee, and as a ‘Talent Scout’ for talent recruitment campaigns. Working closely with Microsoft’s facilities team, Gensler created an adaptable communication tool and assets that allowed the company to manage the program internally and roll it out across a 12-month period.
