Prudential Center Repositioning

Gensler partnered with Boston Properties to reinvent the retail experience at the Prudential Center, a bustling urban shopping enclave in Back Bay retail district in Boston. In order to elevate the space and its user experience from good to great, Gensler sought to establish an overall urban shopping environment that celebrates the best of the chic, hip, and sophisticated New England lifestyle. This approach is reflected in the bright, naturally lit arcades, flanked by tall, urban scaled storefronts along with new lighting, amenities, signage, and wayfinding. This updated design language has ignited an exciting new leasing strategy and inspired innovative technologies that will help solidify Back Bay Prudential Center’s reputation as Boston’s premiere shopping and dining destination.
