Robotics is one of the fastest growing competitive sports for students of all ages. Despite its increasing popularity, there are no dedicated places for student teams to build and test prototypes and host local, national and international competitions. The proposed Robotters Arena, an approximately 100,000-square-foot facility, will be the first of its kind in the nation, complete with a 35,000-square-foot spectator area, maker spaces and classrooms, a multipurpose conference room, concession stalls and a gift shop. When not being used for competitions, the arena will function as an entertainment venue for gamers, robotics enthusiasts and visitors.
