Yahoo7 is a 50/50 partnership that spans the tech and media industries between global Internet company, Yahoo! and Australian entertainment and television broadcasting company Seven West Media. Gensler was engaged for the design of their new 2,000-square-metre workplace at the Australian Technology Park, a move that enabled not only a more efficient use of space but also a transformation of the company's workplace culture. An overarching goal of the project was to create a more open environment that would drive more effective sharing of space, tools, and ideas. Collaboration “neighbourhoods,” each defined by a distinctly vibrant colour signature rather than physical walls, feature a mix of flexible seating, writable surfaces, and integrated AV to allow team interaction and co-creation to flow naturally throughout the day.
