Emotional Security in the Workplace
What We Did
We identified the relational conditions necessary for organizations and professional networks to thrive. We began by analyzing existing literature on relational dynamics in organizations. We then interviewed a diverse group of theorists and practitioners in the worlds of business, sociology, psychology, academia, and corporate leadership. Finally, we conducted an interactive group interview with academic researchers and professors at the University of Washington to understand the emerging expectations of students regarding the relationship they seek with new employers.
