For more than 30 years, Carlos has provided thought leadership and innovative solutions in architecture, design, and business strategy. He previously served on Gensler’s Board of Directors and Management Committee, and now focuses his passion on fostering the next generation of design talent at Gensler and shaping the strategic role of design in Gensler’s client enterprises. Located in the firm's New York office, Carlos has received numerous honors and accolades including an induction into the International Interior Design Association’s College of Fellows and Gensler’s prestigious Don Brinkmann Award for design excellence. His work has appeared in Interior Design, Contract, and other publications. For more than 25 years, he was a visiting professor of design at The Art Institute of Chicago as well as board member of various renowned non-for-profit organizations. Carlos graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's of Architecture and earned his Master's of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
