Gensler’s Co-CEOs
At Gensler, the value of our work stems from its positive impact on the human experience. Co-CEOs Elizabeth Brink and Jordan Goldstein bring bold ideas and creative conviction to their roles as leaders of the world’s most influential architecture and design firm. As collaborative partners with more than 50 years of service to the firm between them, Elizabeth and Jordan oversee both the long-term vision and day-to-day operations of the borderless, global practice known for its design excellence, incisive research, and meaningful positive impact. The co-CEO model is a hallmark of the Gensler’s inclusive, collaborative culture, and together, Elizabeth and Jordan are building on the firm’s legacy of creating a better world through the power of design.
Elizabeth’s and Jordan’s work challenges conventional ideas about architecture and the built environment. With more than two decades of experience as a design strategist, Elizabeth brings a holistic and rigorous analytical approach to every project, for every client, drawing from her multidisciplinary background in architecture, communications, user research and business strategy to create high-performance spaces for some of the world’s most forward-thinking companies. Likewise, Jordan has been a champion of design’s power to shape the human experience since joining the firm in 1996, providing visionary design leadership to projects for top brands and professional sports teams, while also playing a key role in defining the skylines of cities around the world.
Gensler’s global team of 6,000 professionals in 57 locations partners with clients in over 100 countries each year. With expertise in four sectors — cities, lifestyle, work, and health — and 33 practice areas, the firm’s diverse work ranges from aviation, urban design, and stadiums to office, hospitality, life sciences, entertainment, and beyond. Elizabeth and Jordan are strong advocates for Gensler’s digital future, promoting experimentation and technological innovation throughout the firm. Their deep commitment to decarbonizing the built environment guides strategic firmwide initiatives. And their belief in the creativity and ingenuity of our people makes them ardent supporters of mentorship and professional development, both within the firm and the industry at large.
Elizabeth and Jordan are highly sought-after thought leaders, contributing their insights to the media — including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Fast Company, Forbes, Fortune, Bloomberg Radio, The Architect’s Newspaper, and others — and speaking at top-tier industry events for organizations such as NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, and the UCLA Anderson School of Management. The Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Elizabeth as one of its 10 “Women of Influence” honorees, and The Washington Business Journal included Jordan on its “Power 100” list of the top 25 innovators in the Washington, D.C. area.
