500 West 2nd Street

Austin, Texas

As part of the mixed-use Green Water Development, the 29-story 500 West 2nd Street tower redefines the skyline and what Class A office means for downtown Austin. Gensler and the Trammell Crow Company developed the four-city-block master plan in 2011 and construction began in 2014. The design concept of the 500,000-square-foot office tower caters to technology tenants and blends high performance with local Austin character. The office tower design includes a solar-oriented skin and seven large terraces that provide spectacular views and a connection to the outdoors. The main lobby is flanked by 10,000 square feet of retail and outdoor dining as a continuation of downtown’s vibrant 2nd Street District.
