Arizona Department of Administration

The renovation of the Arizona Department of Administration sought to honor and modernize the mid-century-era building positioned on the Capital Mall while bringing it into a new landscape of work where collaboration and choice are key. Through an extensive programming and design strategy phase, it became apparent that the traditionally prescriptive way of working was not successful for meeting the needs of the department. ADOA and the design teams sought to bring flexibility, choice, and wellness to this government workplace project. Through a renovation encompassing 60,000-square-feet, the building is transformed into a high-performance workplace hub supporting cross-departmental collaboration and community outreach.
