Assembly at North First

San Jose, California

To attract and support high-technology companies migrating south from Silicon Valley, the development team turned to Gensler to renovate and rebuild seven existing buildings on the 27-acre former Lam Research complex to deliver a cohesive, branded, and amenity-rich campus environment modernized for today's technology companies. A main street along the campus entrance connects the buildings to an acre of outdoor amenity spaces, including plazas, courtyards, and gardens that offer intimate options to meet and gather. Open lawns invite recreational opportunities and provide ample space to host large events and parties. Pathways for pedestrians and bicycles connect public spaces with offices, ground-floor retail, and parking. Hospitality components—such as an on-site, state-of-the-art fitness center, upgraded locker rooms with showers and storage, fire pit, and outdoor pizza ovens—are integrated into the campus for tenants to enjoy.
