This financial services client’s new Boston headquarters is built on the vision of “One Building, One Brand, One-of-a-Kind Experience” — delivering a workplace where 15 lines of businesses, previously located in three separate buildings, are consolidated into one new home. As a global organization, it was essential that the new workspace connect people across the company, in addition to creating a sense of community, purpose, and place.
The “off the grid” workplace design concept pays homage to the city with a meandering floor plan that mimics Boston’s winding streets. The space playfully references its Boston neighborhood’s hidden gems and features lighting and materials crafted by local manufacturers. The efficiency of the financial workplace allows the client to provide both an amenity hub and smaller amenity spaces throughout individual floors, establishing a vertical campus. Centralized workplace amenities include a client conference center, marketplace, coffee bar, and game room. Throughout the stack, the unified aesthetic can be elevated depending on the line of business, creating a strong sense of brand.
