International Place Repositioning

Boston, Massachusetts

The transformation of International Place, an iconic 1980s office building designed by Philip Johnson, repositions the landmark as a vibrant, welcoming destination that connects seamlessly with the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Renovated, light-filled entryways and hospitality-inspired lobbies greet tenants and visitors, while the IP Commons — a central atrium with biophilic design and a programmable water feature — serves as the building’s “green heart.” Together, these improvements reinforce International Place as an integral and inviting part of the downtown community.

On the third floor, the Aries Club, a 16,000-square-foot amenity floor designed exclusively for tenants, brings a new dimension to the workplace experience. From wellness rooms and immersive simulators to a podcast studio, boardroom, and bar with terrace, the space balances productivity and relaxation, offering tenants spaces to recharge, entertain clients, or host gatherings.
