Knoll Chicago Showroom

Chicago, Illinois

Knoll’s decision to relocate its showroom from Chicago’s historic Merchandise Mart (theMART) to a new building in the Fulton Market neighborhood represents the design company’s forward-thinking philosophy and strategy for a new phase of growth. The Knoll at Fulton Market, designed by Gensler, is a transformative, hospitality-forward space that echoes the vitality of its reimagined urban neighborhood and sets the stage for Knoll’s “new lifestyle meets work perspective.”

The goal for the new showroom design was to create an integrated space well-suited for displaying Knoll’s furniture products, most of which blur the line between residential and commercial, and an environment that is representative of all its brands. With Knoll on the sixth and seventh floors, the fifth floor features a unique concept design and finish palette for its Scandinavian brand’s North American flagship showroom, Muuto.
