New York Mets Citi Field

Queens, New York

To enhance visitors’ game day experience, Gensler’s New York and Los Angeles offices worked in tandem to upgrade several key club and suite spaces at Citi Field. The new field-level Cadillac Club at Payson’s is designed as a speakeasy with a disguised entrance that leads to an intimate hideaway experience, featuring a private bar and tiered club seats for an elevated game-watching experience. Two new suites and one existing on the Empire Level of the stadium, behind home plate, take cues from baseball-inspired colors and textures, immersing guests in the “Home Suite Home” concept. The new Empire Club offers a cocktail lounge, communal dining, and a feature bar with low lighting and gilded accents as a nod to the Art Deco era of its namesake.

Transforming an underused space in left field into a series of four platforms, the new Hijole Porch boasts expansive views of the ballpark. A living green wall and industrial-inspired elements liven up the landing, which offers a variety of stadium seating, new bar, and a self-serve market to provide expedient service for fans. Future phases of the Citi Field project will include upgrades to additional VIP clubs and other improvements for general admission fans.
