Pinterest, the visual discovery engine, enlisted Gensler to create a transformational workplace representative of its brand identity, company values, and collaborative culture. Inspired by the curatorial nature of the platform, discovery and inspiration are woven throughout Pinterest’s office space. Meeting rooms are designed with a unique look and feel inspired by favourite Canadiana pastimes, like glamping and escaping to the cottage, while an intimate focus room, dubbed “The Speakeasy,” is concealed behind a bookcase in “The Library.” Spread across three floors, the new office design provides two dedicated working floors supported by a range of meeting rooms, breakout spaces, and micro-pantries, as well as an amenities floor and a sales centre. A large open servery and cafe brings employees together in a space that can host town halls and social events. This new Toronto workplace expands Pinterest’s presence in Canada in a modern workspace that reinforces a connection among team members and the city they proudly call home.
