Talon

London, United Kingdom

Talon, the world’s leading independent out-of-home media agency, has established a new headquarters in the heart of Soho, London that sets the stage for its next chapter. Designed by Gensler, the office reflects the company’s entrepreneurial spirit, global ambition, and deep roots in the capital. It offers a clubhouse-style environment that supports employee well-being and fosters client relationships.

Occupying two floors on Shaftesbury Avenue, the new headquarters is situated in the epicentre of London’s entertainment district — a lively collision of culture, people, and activity. Gensler’s design mirrors the vibrancy of the area while offering calm within. It draws on the textures and colours of the surrounding streets: terracotta carpet reminiscent of brick buildings, timber screen walls that nod to masonry façades, and tactile materials that evoke the grit and character of the neighbourhood.

A ceiling element — nicknamed ‘the dragon’ — runs through the townhall area in an angular line that echoes the building’s exterior form. Its design gives a subtle nod to Chinatown while also reflecting Talon’s innovative AI work. To minimise waste, more than 65% of the furniture was reused, materials were sourced locally, and the existing architecture was carefully leveraged. Catering to a multigenerational team, workspaces were particularly designed for neurodiverse needs and different working styles. Quiet zones with darker palettes offer refuge from stimulation, while open areas support social connection and teamwork.
