Laura Gelso

Laura is an award-winning architect and designer in Gensler’s Paris office with more than 28 years of international experience, bringing a creative and strategic approach to the delivery of complex architectural and interior environments. Having worked at renowned practices in New York, London, and Paris, she offers a globally informed perspective shaped by diverse cultural and professional contexts.

Since relocating to France, Laura has spent the past 19 years leading and delivering large-scale projects across architecture and interiors, with a focus on complex workplace and mixed-use programmes. Her work prioritises innovation, sustainability, and human-centered design, translating ambitious briefs into thoughtful narratives and high-performing environments. Laura’s portfolio spans academic institutions, corporate headquarters, cutting-edge research laboratories, and museums, reflecting her ability to operate across sectors while navigating significant technical and programmatic complexity.

Complementing her design leadership, Laura earned an Executive MBA from HEC Paris in 2014, specialising in entrepreneurship and innovation. This dual design and business perspective underpins her ability to align creative vision with strategic outcomes, fostering strong client partnerships and delivering projects with lasting impact.
