- 40-Story, 171-Meter-Tall Landmark in District One
As Ho Chi Minh City’s District One emerges as Vietnam’s premier business district, demand grows for hospitality that balances global standards with local identity. Against this backdrop, Hilton sought to establish its first Saigon presence, strategically located in District One along the waterfront. Hilton challenged Gensler to create a hyper-localized, world-class destination that blends modern luxury with Vietnamese heritage. The site also unlocks potential as a gateway to future urban connections.
Hilton Saigon’s vertically integrated design establishes an iconic presence along the skyline. A 30-story hotel tower with 368 river-facing rooms rises from a 10-story mixed-use podium with retail, food & beverage, and events space. Unique spatial strategies, like placing the lobby atop the podium, help maximize ground-floor activation while delivering sweeping skyline views. The design team reinterpreted traditional Vietnamese design with modern elements, creating a bold yet contextual identity.
The first Hilton in Saigon sets a new benchmark for luxury and urban integration. It catalyzes economic activity through high-end retail and dining, activates the street edge, and invites community engagement. From an iconic rooftop bar to street-level retail, the hotel redefines hospitality with local storytelling and layered experiences. As a gateway to future riverside development, Hilton Saigon becomes a cultural landmark and an architectural icon.
