Telefónica Digital Lounge

Berlin, Deutschland

The design of the Digital Lounge at Kaiserhöfe, Berlin, introduces a fresh and individual aesthetic to Telefónica’s existing office portfolio. The design concept weaves together the architectural context of its historic surroundings, keeping elements untouched where possible with the addition of selected high-quality finishes, to create an interesting contrast between old and new. As a home for Telefónica’s PR & Marketing team and a base for visiting employees, a key design feature of the Berlin workspace is the executive lounge and meeting room suite for private events and presentations. The office is an addition to the existing Basecamp Café on the ground floor, where visitors instantly feel welcomed. Inspired by the drive of ‘enabling connections,’ Telefónica’s Digital Lounge fosters personal interactions, with digital components and brand elements kept minimal. The connection to Berlin is represented through a perforated metal screen installation outlining a map of the city.
