Erik Lustgarten, AIA, LEED AP
Science Leader, Principal
Erik applies his deep understanding of the challenges faced by science organizations to inform creative, practical, and technically-sound design solutions for academic institutions, start-ups, and top innovative companies. Based in the Boston office, his project experience encompasses work recognized by the AIA, the Boston Society of Architects, IIDA New England, and R&D Magazine’s Lab of the Year awards. A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Erik has also served as a National Science Foundation grants review panelist and was a founding board member of the New England Chapter of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories. He has authored dozens of articles and been quoted in international publications such as Azure Magazine, Lab Manager, and Nature Journal. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University and furthered his studies at the Czech Technical Institute and Harvard School of Public Health.
