Hyundai Capital’s new Chinese headquarters is an innovative oasis in the heart of Beijing. After outgrowing their office, they sought a new workplace that escaped the expectations of a traditional financial firm while maintaining the quiet sophistication of an established business. Unique, visionary design offers employees a refuge from the outside world by creating idyllic moments, including miniature cascading gardens, specially calibrated lighting to mimic daylight, and plant-inspired accents of color against dark wood and steel. The design also integrates inspiration drawn from traditional Chinese tea houses. Centralized pantries on each floor provide a retreat from the stress of everyday work and serve as employee gathering spaces.
