Across the U.S., sports venues are under increasing pressure to deliver exceptional fan experiences while updating aging infrastructure to meet modern standards. To become long-term assets, these venues must evolve into experiential, year-round destinations. Since 1998, M&T Bank Stadium has been celebrated for its fan-friendly amenities, but the stadium needed an upgrade. The Ravens and Maryland Stadium Authority recognized the need to elevate the venue to match evolving expectations and Baltimore’s vibrant culture.
Gensler’s multi-phase transformation enhances fan experiences across the stadium through upgraded concourses, reimagined suites, immersive club spaces, and innovative field-level environments. The Miller Lite Gatehouse — a new two-level beer hall and rooftop deck — anchors the stadium’s “extend the day” strategy with pre- and post-game hospitality and community programming. Drawing from Baltimore’s culture, materials, and rooftop traditions, the design blends Ravens identity with local character. The hospitality-driven design creates flexible, welcoming spaces that are deeply connected to the city.
The revitalized stadium provides fans with more ways to gather and celebrate — on gameday and beyond. New premium lounges, the rooftop Gatehouse, and field-level clubs create a more intuitive and memorable experience for every ticket holder. As renovations continue through 2026, M&T Bank Stadium is emerging as a cornerstone of Baltimore’s entertainment district and a model for next-generation sports venues. The transformative design strengthens community pride and expands the stadium’s role as a year-round civic destination.
