Star Alliance Lounge at Charles de Gaulle Airport

Parisian charm meets modern design at the Star Alliance Airport Lounge at Charles de Gaulle Airport, designed in collaboration by Gensler’s Newport Beach and Paris offices. Spanning approximately 1,300 square meters and hosting up to 300 guests, the lounge creates a truly localized Parisian experience for travellers.

Designed with a focus on Star Alliance branding, the airport lounge features a sophisticated black, grey, and gold palette complemented by local touches such as parquet flooring, elegant mouldings, and custom Parisian upholstery. Every element pays tribute to the city’s architectural heritage while embracing modernity.

The lounge is divided into distinct zones, each offering a unique atmosphere, to cater to a range of needs. Upon entry, guests are welcomed by a Champagne bar that features a locally designed gold light fixture and displays a quote by French novelist Marcel Proust. With a vibrant macaroon-inspired colour palette, The Tea Salon is bathed in natural sunlight and creates a bright environment with views of the Terminal 1 runway. A dedicated area for business travellers provides soundproof phone booths. A central glass structure makes up the winter garden, blurring the line between indoors and outdoors and connecting guests to an adjacent outdoor garden.

Wellness amenities include individual shower suites, a relaxation zone, and a wellness room, offering spaces to unwind and recharge. Locally handcrafted sculptures throughout the lounge create a museum-like atmosphere. In the dining area, travellers can enjoy daylight views or the charm of the illuminated tarmac at night, while the wine bar enhances the charm of the lounge, seamlessly transitioning between day and evening settings.
