Centralizing a Global Portfolio

This international financial technology client, with thousands of employees, was struggling to manage its decentralized real estate portfolio — and sought to understand if a consolidation would provide some savings.

By uploading floor plans into Wisp, the client was able to identify 2.2 million square feet of unused workspace, equivalent to 29% vacancy. A consolidation strategy was set in motion, impacting more than 36 buildings and 16,000 employees. With the workplace consolidation, the client created a mobility strategy to allow employees to work remotely outside of their centralized locations — reducing overall space and cost while retaining its most valuable assets: its employees.
