In the age of AI, tech workplaces are redefining the intersection of human and social capital. Workplaces that put culture and values on display, and bring people together, attract and retain top talent. This technology company sought to create a regional headquarters in Singapore that would reflect its global values, support dynamic collaboration, and celebrate local culture. The challenge: to set a new global benchmark for its offices while weaving all of these elements together across nine floors.
Inspired by Singapore’s unique urban fabric, Gensler designed the APAC headquarters as a “city within a city,” organizing the space into neighborhoods linked by a main boulevard. Each neighborhood offers intuitive navigation, breakout spots, and vibrant micro kitchens — each themed after Singapore’s cultural palette. Collaborating across seven global offices, the team fused the tech company’s workplace guidelines with hyper-local design cues to build a headquarters that feels unmistakably global and unmistakably Singaporean.
The result is a thriving, connected workplace that celebrates openness, interaction, and local identity. From the shophouse-inspired material palette to the open staircases echoing Singapore’s maritime heritage, every element strengthens community and storytelling. With spaces designed to serve more than 2,000 users daily, the APAC headquarters is now a global reference for how to turn workplace strategy into a living culture.
