Understanding Airports through Social Data
What We Did
We mined data from online review websites to investigate opportunities to improve the airport experience. We organized that information in Excel, and partnered with Lexalytics to perform a sentiment analysis, algorithmic categorization, data visualization, and statistical analysis. Our data mining effort included documents from websites such as Yelp, Twitter, Facebook, and TripAdvisor. Our research culminated in the groundwork to automate a process of analyzing user sentiment of an airport using social media data.
