Today’s workers are seeking less predictability and more novelty when it comes to experiences in the workplace. Across industries, office employees express a desire to move past rigid, corporate workplace experience and more toward natural, creative, and residential environments. Specifically, employees at financial services firms are expressing desire for more accessibility to executive leadership, challenging design to facilitate more casual collisions and opportunities for cross-team connection.
The Honduras headquarters of BAC Credomatic, a financial services firm in Central America, is the first architectural translation of the organization’s vision to reimagine banking. A fluid floor design shifts the space from enclosed workplace architecture to exciting, dynamic and energy filled spaces. A central atrium links seven floors of employees with sculptural, interconnecting stairs. Abundant natural light fills spaces both communal and enclosed areas, creating a natural feel across the space.
BAC Credomatic’s headquarters adds new layers to the way employees meet and move around the workplace. The connected floors encourage collaboration between employees and create efficient access to amenities, while the central atrium promotes vertical movement and contributes to the firm’s health and sustainability goals. Holistically, the building is a symbol of BAC's vision, and challenges the idea of how a financial institution environment should look, feel and perform.
