Glenmede, a boutique wealth management firm, embraced this challenge, seeking to create a workplace that reflects its heritage while supporting agility, collaboration, and connection — positioning the firm to thrive in a rapidly changing industry and competitive talent landscape.

Solution

Gensler partnered with Glenmede to transform its Philadelphia headquarters into a modern, agile workplace rooted in the firm’s heritage. Inspired by the flowing movement of the nearby Schuylkill River, the design features a striking three-story marble stair, open floorplans, and flexible, unassigned workspaces to support hybrid work. A reimagined atrium promotes connection and collaboration, while curated amenities — including a barista bar, library, and recording studio — enhance employee and client experiences, reflecting Glenmede’s vision for innovation and lasting impact.
