As social, political, and economic issues create volatility around the globe, how can we make the workplace more agile?
What We Did
We developed a framework and accompanying set of mixed-methods design research tools to rapidly design and deliver flexible workplace strategies. We used energy sector clients as a pilot to develop the model, and began by holding a series of roundtable discussions with energy sector leaders to understand the emerging forces driving the industry, workplace, and workforce. This helped us grasp the ways that physical environment, technology, and human behavior intersect in energy workspaces. We then completed pilot projects for three local energy industry clients that were seeking a value-driven approach to workspace. Each pilot had a different scope, enabling us to test our tools and methods on projects of various scales.
