Houston Ballet Center for Dance

Houston, Texas

The largest professional dance facility in the United States, this Gensler-designed six-story building is home to both the Houston Ballet and its training Academy and houses nine studios, a performance laboratory and a student dormitory. Through the oversized windows of the double-height studios, dancers are showcased in rehearsal, offering a living billboard of performance at the gateway to Houston's Theater District. A new pedestrian bridge connects the Center directly to the Ballet's performance hall.
