Forever 21 Boston

Boston, Massachusetts

Originally designed as a parking garage for a sewing machine factory in the mid-1920’s, Forever 21’s new flagship store comprises four levels of sales floors, accessible by new escalators that run through the center of the structure, creating a prominent central circulation area. Due to the building’s location, amidst an architecturally historic area, Gensler was required to work closely with the local architectural review board to maintain the building’s original historic façade. Abundant windows located throughout the space, as well as a new skylight centered over the escalators, allow ample daylight to flood the space, creating a warm and welcoming retail environment for customers and staff.
