As the Director of Global Client Relationships, Joan collaborates with firm leadership to develop a comprehensive strategy for service excellence to our global clients. Her mantra is: “Our client’s point of view determines our success,” and she supports multi-location and multi-project accounts for leading client companies and organizations. As part of the Client Relationships Management Committee, she focuses on driving key global initiatives forward and works closely with Gensler Account Leaders to identify key client relationship leaders within their regions and offices. Joan has been an integral leader in our Northwest Region for more than 13 years, and most recently served as Managing Director of the San Francisco office. She serves on the Board of the San Francisco Center of Economic Development, is the former Vice-Chair of the San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR), and is co-founder of CAP, the Corenet Apprentice Program with University of California, Berkeley. Joan is the first female recipient of the Corenet Northern California Chapter Service Provider of the Year award. An avid hiker, Joan has raised more than $30,000 as a nine-time participant in the 40-mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
