Ken joined Gensler as a Design Director, responsible for assisting in leading and building the firm’s architecture portfolio in the Asia Pacific & Middle East regions. Ken brings extensive international experience in Mixed-Use & Retail Centres, including transit-oriented design. His natural affinity for construction methodology and the use of innovative materials underpins his design approach.
As a thought leader in modern methods of construction / DfMA (Design for Manufacture, Assembly & Disassembly), sustainable design, and mass timber, Ken is regularly invited to speak at conferences, contribute to research projects, and participate on design competition juries. An award-winning architect, he is the recipient of five Good Design Awards, and was closely involved in two Sir John Sulman Award-winning projects. In 2013, Ken founded the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) in NSW and currently sits on its Australian Board.
He was appointed Adjunct Professor of Architecture at The University of Sydney in 2016, Conjoint Professor of Practice at The University of Newcastle in 2020, and the same year, he accepted a three-year state appointment to the Sydney and Regional Planning Panels.
