For over 30 years, Ken has focused on designing forward-thinking science and educational environments at the intersection of research and learning. As Cities Sector Leader of the Boston office, he directs a team of architects, designers, and strategists working in the realms of education, arts, science, and health & wellness. He also serves as a Firmwide Strategic Advisor for Gensler’s Education Practice Area. Ken is actively engaged with the Society of College and University Planners, serving on their Planning Academy, and is a member of the Boston Society of Architects and its Public Programs Committee. Previously, he served as a sub-committee chair for the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Zero Net Energy Building Task Force. Ken holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in physics and received his Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon. He was elected into the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows in 2014.
