Jan is a Studio Director in Gensler’s New York office and a Critical Facilities Practice Area Leader. He is known as a national expert in data center design and planning, and pioneered the benchmarking of best practices and trends for these highly technical environments. He has grown Gensler’s Critical Facilities practice in emerging markets in Latin America, Asia, and Canada by mentoring and training staff across multiple offices. Jan’s portfolio also includes large-scale trading and headquarters projects like Verizon’s Basking Ridge Campus, Mount Sinai Medical System’s headquarters, Morgan Stanley’s relocation, Pfizer’s New York headquarters, and Fannie Mae — the first LEED-certified data center in the U.S. His work has been published in Corporate Design, Contract, and Fast Company. Jan is a Registered Architect in seven states and earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Pratt Institute.
