Mitsy Canto-Jacobs, AIA, NCIDQ, LEED AP, DBIA

Mitsy is a Sciences Leader for Gensler’s Southeast region based in Baltimore. For the last 20 years, Mitsy’s design and planning work has focused on laboratory environments and research animal facilities in the United States, Asia, and Africa. She has worked on life sciences and industry projects that range in size from 200 to 3.5 million square feet. She has extensive knowledge of international standards for safety in research and manufacturing and she has designed and facilitated workshops as a technical consultant for laboratory buildings. Mitsy is also an expert in the design requirements of the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Centers for Disease Control, and the Food and Drug Administration.
