As a Design Director in Gensler’s Oakland office, Doug leads the project vision for his team to deliver world-class workplace design for technology, energy and financial firm clients. He has more than 30 years of experience working in multiple countries across a number of practice areas. His time overseas fine-tuned his abilities to quickly develop new ways of expressing and communicating design to his clients. Doug's award-winning projects have been published in the San Francisco Business Times and Forbes, among other notable media sources. His commitment to the East Bay community extends from a drawing tour of the wonderful classical historical buildings of Oakland to supporting a number of local art groups that include MOCHA, the Museum of Children's Art. He is an active member of SPUR and Habitat for Humanity. Doug holds a Master in Architecture from Tulane University. His digital and hand illustrations can be seen in ED+C Magazine, GenslerOn and drawingontheworld.blogspot.com.
