Gensler designed a 188,292 square meter data center for insurance company, China Pacific Insurance. Comprising a cube-shaped structure with rectangular voids cut from its volume, the development contains an office tower, an amenity facility, a data center, and underground parking. These voids in the form informal meeting spaces and access routes from street level into the building and up to its roof. The tower’s office layout supports Gensler’s four workplace principles: focus, socialize, collaborate and learn. The concept of a “vertical city” references “Sichuan culture” noted for its distinctive leisure lifestyle. The office lobby will have a 65-meter high atrium that spans over three floors. Multi-functional spaces, green spaces and a roof top, create distinctive office environments and offer intimacies within the surrounding urban density.
