Gensler’s Planning & Urban Design Group is working with the city of Detroit to create a comprehensive revitalization plan for the Rosa Parks — Clairmount Neighborhood. The plan will focus on strategic interventions aimed at re-purposing vacant land and blighted properties to more productive and economically viable uses. Through a comprehensive public engagement with the community, we have facilitated an open and honest conversation about the present and future visions for the neighborhood. In collaboration with the neighborhood, we have identified existing assets and initiatives that serve as the foundation for our planning efforts. Ultimately, our planning efforts focused on strategic landscape interventions and catalytic development opportunities that serve to create a sense of identity and place in the neighborhood while creating the momentum to drive future redevelopment.
